The {HOPE} Station is a ministry of hope tied to communities, supporting schools, coordinating events and networking with businesses, artists and individuals to promote humanitarian efforts and raise the awareness of the healing powers of hope.  We provide the calm after the storm or during times of adversity. HOPE Station is a unique disaster relief program developed to help the victims of natural disasters and catastrophes. This effort was birthed out of the need for those to share their personal stories of trials, tribulations, and triumphs to inspire those currently in the similar situation.  The premise is that there is strength and comfort in sharing.

ABOUT US:

Spring 2011 was a busy time for Stephanie and the iKros team as they prepared for the launch of Storytellers by iKros. The weekend before the launch, on May 22, an F5 tornado hit Joplin, Missouri. Determined to help the people affected by the tragedy, Stephanie pulled her team together. Postponing the Storytellers launch, they packed up and headed to Joplin. They stayed in Joplin for two months, redirected their efforts to creating an initiative called the {HOPE} Station. Understanding the importance of sharing the stories of their experiences, the team used Chapters to help people express themselves, share the hope and heal. The concept was simple for the iKros team, "We handed them a shirt and a Sharpie. It was that simple." The people took matters from there scribing their own personal testimonials of loss and recovery on t-shirts provided by donors to the {HOPE} Station.

The {HOPE} Station facilitates campaigns with sprecially designed activity stations geared to the circumstances of healing and rebuilding. In most instances the campaigns include- a KIDS Station; complete with donated toys and games, a REBUILD Station; with photography and video recording to capture lost family photos and allow the community a chance to tell their story; and an ENTERTAINMENT Station where a stage is set up and local celebrity acts perform daily. Each campaign is about "Hope and Healing" helping affected individuals to see that this is the beginning of a new chapter, not the end of anythin. The hallmark and underpinning of each {HOPE} Stationcampaign is the prominent use of interactive t-shirts, compelte with a writable surface on the back (and a Sharpie), giving each recipient a personal platform to express themselves and communicate with others while they go about the challenge of rebuilding. Each campaign is filled with a reservoir of stories of hope, inspiration, and helaing from citizens, musicians, artists, athletes, business owners, and public speakers creating a diverse collective of {HOPE} Raisers.

Your donations, contributions and purchases work to fund the {HOPE} Station's ministry of hope. Proceeds from our Chapters (t-shirts/jewelry) product line go entirely to support production and giving. Our business model is simple, "Buy one-gift one."
