Orphan Helpers exists to serve and minister to the physical, spiritual, emotional and educational needs of orphaned, abused and incarcerated children by effectively partnering with individuals, businesses, churches, organizations and governments.
ABOUT US:
For 13 years, Greg Garret had been praying and seeking God's wil for his life. "It kept coming back to orphans," he said. In 2000, he was supposed to be online searching for an anniversary cruise when he came across a unique opportunity. He asked his wife, Libby, to drop the cruise idea and go with him in search of orphans in Central America. They flew to El Salvador and found a nearby church, where they met an interpreter and a guide for their search. They came upon an orphanage with 250 children being cared for by six adults; not a single commode or shower worked. One of the babies had been found in the trash the night before. He and Libby came home and began to write to everyone they knew seeking support for these children. That same year 15 people returned to help. Now after 10 years, Orphan Helpers has grown tremendously. Today, Greg continues to run a realty company in Hampton Roads, Virginia that donates office space and other materials to Orphan Helpers, and he and Libby serve on Orphan Helpers' Board of Directors.
Orphan Helpers now educates and trains more than 1,500 children in Central Americn, governement-owned and operated orphanages and detention centers. Orphan Helpers employs in-country staff who are teachers, caregivers and counselors. They provide grade-school classes and vocational training programs including sewing, cosmetology, computer skills, English, and jewelry and small goods production. Your donation will go to help support our children through the love and care our staff provides them.

Make an Impact. Act Now.
Many of us have the heart to give but not the cash to help.
Here is the answer. Some may be looking for a tax advantage of donating an old car, cell phone or other noncash assets. Others interested in turning unused assets into a good deed for our children. By donating any of your old stuff, we can now turn those gifts into cash.
Please consider any donation type and remember to use the Share button. This message and video to your network can make your impact grow virally. It's really that simple, your time and treasures can impact lives.
